This weekend is a very exciting one for Paul Zeni Bridal – we are exhibiting at the prestigious Harrogate Bridal Show, taking place on 8-10 September at Harrogate Convention Centre. This show, which also incorporates the Bridal Buyer awards, is widely regarded as one of the most important trade weddings shows in Northern Europe and many top designers will be present. Like last year, we have a brand new stunning collection for this show and we can’t wait to share it.
Our beautiful 2020 collection encapsulates everything a bride dreams of for her wedding day. We are on-trend with off-the-shoulder, plunging necklines and intricate lace detail to make every bride look and feel amazing. We also launch our striking beaded jumpsuit with train.
Choosing a wedding dress is one of the most important parts of a wedding. Here are a few suggestions to make your most exciting shopping trip go more smoothly.
Start early so you can enjoy the experience
Wedding dresses can have a long lead time – in some cases up to a year. Brides who leave insufficient time for dress shopping are likely to be limiting their choices especially if they have an inflexible budget. If you don’t start early, you may end up making a choice that you regret or the whole experience will not be fun because you are under pressure to find something suitable. Our lead times are usually around 12-14 weeks.
Trust your intuition
You will just “know” when you have found the one. It will simply feel like it was always meant to be, so go with your instincts. Even if you have tried on dozens of dresses and some of them seemed good, wait for the one that makes you go “wow”.
Think about the location and style of your wedding
Go for something which is in keeping with the overall vibe of your wedding. If your venue is a country barn conversion or country house hotel, you might opt for a more rustic look whereas if you’re in a luxury London hotel, a sleeker look might work better. Of course, the style of wedding dress that works best for the bride might not necessarily be traditional in the venue you have chosen, but the important thing is that it works for you.
Style is important, but comfort must also be considered
You need to feel comfortable in the dress in order to look and feel amazing overall. Dresses that are harder to get in and out of or don’t accommodate comfortable sitting or walking will make it more difficult for the bride to be relaxed and enjoy her day. You want to be able to wear the dress comfortably all day to maximise your photo opportunities and get best value from your purchase. Whilst a long train may be the stuff of fairytales, unless you have willing helpers following you around all day, it may be more trouble than its worth. Paul Zeni gowns are a perfect mix of style and comfort, allowing you to shine on your big day.
